Yes, you read correctly! The ever-awesome Savannah College of Art and Design had opened a hot new store full of goodies.

I am a cool blues kind of girl and this pattern makes me want to scrap something all in blues.

So of course I imagine it with a linen shirt w/ a chic black belt and this piece of LOVELY jewelry... CARVED turquoise.  Divine, I want this - I can't afford it right now but things come in time. This is by Anne Aalto.  Check out her logo pearls (decadence).

Ah, big peaceful sigh!  Now I want to dream in shades of blue, turquoise, wedgewood, sky....

A weekend ahead...

I am sitting here with so many projects to tackle - where to start? AND a three day weekend that will provide just enough time to start a bunch of stuff and probably get 2 of them done. COOL!

Seriously though, I am planning on doing a page about a trip to Disney - which is so cliche but I have never crafted a layout about the "magical" mouse.  I bought some embellishments from EK Success of a nice Mickey (and I usually never buy pre-made major theme embellishments unless I'm working on a time crunch project).  

So I plan on tackling a Disney layout - and if I get that done, it'll be a good thing! (As Martha says....)

Fun for Scrap Room

I found this super sweet modular wall organization piece  and thought, Hey, this would be awesome for my scrapbook room.  But then I looked at the price tag.  $350.  Um... but Very cool if you like that modern 1960's retro feel to your scrap room which I do like but don't adhere to.  Got my ideas flowing on how to redecorate my room to perhaps add some consistency in my approach.

I am so thankful for having a room to create in - and hope to get to spend some precious weekend time there tomorrow.  Sweet Saturday going into Sunday peace.

Scrap foibles

Ever have those errant old roles of 35mm or APS film languishing about and wonder what memories are waiting to be exposed (literally)? Well sometimes a left over roll of film should just be left alone.

Speaking from the voice of experience, some pictures are just not scrapped for a reason. I picked up 5 rolls of pics today. It was both a positive and a scary experience.

Catching Up...

It has been awhile since I blogged - due to the Facebook addiction, new car excitement and intense time spent working on a scrapbook for my Grandmother, I haven't kept up with my original blog fam!

So here are TWO scrapping things I'm grooving on right now! 

Canson photo corners!  When you are working on a "heritage" album with old photos - even reproductions, photo corners are VERY handy. They are flexible. They are classic. I am a big fan. I like Canson sticky ones on the sheets versus the kind you have to lick (yuck!)

 

Autumn Leaves Wellies and Brellas: This line is spot on with the design trends and love of wellies, cute designs... a nice departure from birds which have been hot for 18 months or so. Lovely papers! I am going to do a layout about my new VW Bug in the rain I think.

 

It's late. I have put together some recommendations on how to design a heritage album that I will try to post soon. But for now, it is late and all good girls must go to bed. Peace!
